The Dynamic EGR feature has been in use for a year with no issues. It requires custom tuning price (about $50-100 more than standard). Other features are available with custom tuning: Dynamic idle control, left-foot brake fix, and glow plug duration & strength change. Last edited: May 22, 2011.
Re: EGR Valve removal/cleaning. I have changed loads, the amount of work involved is not worth the hassle of trying to clean them, most failures are the electronic valve operation. Not clogged with soot, the only option I would recommend is a new 1 from tps about £300, I wouldn't bother getting 1 from factors or ebay as they don't come
Jan 3, 2006. #3. The PD is. The throttle plate is electrically actuated with position feedback. Its used to increase the EGR flow by blocking off the intake as the EGR valve opens. The O2 sensor is the feedback sensor to the ECU to calculate NOx content from the oxygen content of the exhaust. For a squeky clean intake manifold on the PD, block EGR removal: Carefully (can't be stressed enough) remove the vacuum lines (2) that go to the EGR assembly (remember which one goes where). The one that goes to the "anti-shutter" flap has a plastic nipple that is prone to breakage. Remove big hose clamp on right side. Unthread 3 hex head cap screws that hold EGR valve to Intake manifold. Done!1.9 8v TDI PD150 (ARL) and US ALH / BEW PD100 EGR Cooler Delete Pipe. Jul 13, 2014. #5. An EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculate) delete does not remove the ASV (Anti-Shudder Valve) portion of the Kombi valve on the ALH TDI unless you are installing a race pipe. The kit does come with block off plates for the exhaust manifold as well as the bottom of the Kombi valve.
