The only way to declare war in the current state of Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord is to plunder and plunder villages or caravans belonging to the kingdom you wish to fight. Follow these steps to start a war with the faction / kingdom: Make sure your own town is close enough to the faction you want to attack. Originally posted by ESDP: Joining a kingdom, getting settlements, leave the kingdom with the settlements, bribe for peace. there you have it. 50k-60k Gold to bribe the king. This is not really fun, because once you form it. you barely have anything prepared. but this is the fastest way I know so far. #4.
One of their cities to the very north-west of their starting territory is sorta isolated on it's own bit of land, with the only way to reach it being a narrow, often bandit-infested valley. Might be a good place to start. battania. rare archer, no horse archer, weak cavalry, means easier to beat in battles. their highland also easier to defend
As you need it to become a kingdom, so cant raise an army, therefore have limited troops (say130 ish) as nobody will follow you. Playing on realistic and would rather find a way that doesnt involve temporarily dropping the difficulty if possible. Thanks Look for a castle that recently changed hands.
So currently I’m just a Tier 3 lord in the Vlandia. I have the Brits and Western Empire near us which I feel would be easy targets however my kingdom only seems to go to war with Sturgia or Khuzait. I stopped forming the kingdom. I found you can take over towns and castles without it. Find a spot you can take, wait for the right moment. seige the town and take it, when the enemy army comes pay for peace. rinse, repeat. I have like 5 major towns, and 7 castles. and since you are not a kingdom yet, they cant delcare war on you. Last edited by Xiane ; Apr 8, 2020 @ 3:32pm. #1. Jemandem Apr 8, 2020 @ 3:52pm. Best is to build a stormram and then attack. If you wait to long, an ennemy army can show up. And remember to save save save :) #3. Onimaho Apr 3, 2020 @ 5:32am. Right off the bat, the ruling clan earning 3 influence per day is an absolute must for any newly-created kingdom. It’s one of the best policies if you’re hell-bent on creating your own kingdom from scratch, but only in the beginning stages. Firmly avoid this policy if you’re a vassal. Sacred Majesty Policy in Bannerlord. Founding your own kingdom is a feature new to Warband. It is the ability to set yourself up as a king or queen of your own fully fledged faction. Trying to conquer land in the original Mount&Blade while being unaffiliated with a leader shows a long text stating that you are a "commoner" and have no right to be "treated as a king". All monarchs Decide which Imperial town you want. Join as a vassal to the closest non-Imperial faction to that town. Gain some influence with battles and missions. Wait til they're at war with the Imperial faction that holds the town you desire. Once at war, spend all your influence on building an army to take the town. Vladians are easily the best. Being part of their kingdom is literally playing the game on easy mode. Vlandia is easy mode, best position on the map, far away from khuzaits and rarely ganged up by competent kingdoms, it is so optimal that i never play for them and even often end up executing them all at some point just to make an example. I almost always take Nevyansk first bc it's always low on troops but that area is ALWAYS infested with looters. I would take Oristocoris castle, it is easily defensible as it only has one way in or out. Both villages are close by. Easier from there to mount attacks to the Western Empire, Vlandia and Aserai.

Whether you plan to stay in your faction or create your own kingdom at endgame, you need to start with getting land, castles, and towns. The easiest way is to get fiefs is to conquer them, with the help of your faction. You need to check all armies of your kingdom, and join the one going to siege a castle or town.
